UFC beats ICC by 6 wickets

Match Update: UFC vs Indian Cricket Club – Game 2 of 7 Played on Saturday 6th Feb 2016 at Kolej Tunku Ja’afar Grounds, Mantin Toss: Won by ICC and elected to bat first
Indian Cricket Club Innings – 84 All Out in 17.4 overs (Gopal 14 for 2, Sandeep 16 for 1 & Saif 13 for 1)
Overall it was a great discipline bowling performance by UFCians to restrict opponents to a score of 84. Proceeding began in a slightly different way where batsman went to blazing start in a short stint but UFCians manage to pull back and get the 1st breakthrough in the 3rd over when opener edged the ball and Shreejith who secured the simple catch behind the stumps. At the time ICC had scored 20 runs in 2.4 overs and Gopal registered the 1st wicket of the game. Right next over Shreejith got another edge off Saif bowling who were asking many questions from batsmen’s. Score at 27 just adding 1 run to the score ICC lost another wicket of Gopal marking 27 for 3 after 5 overs. While opponents were searching for a momentum great fielding effort of Ameen ensured the 4th wicket when he safely return the ball to Shreejith to send the batsman back to the pavilion when score was at 45 for 4 in 8.2 Overs. Very next over they lost another wicket of Faesal’s bowling and score was 48 for 5 in 9.5 overs. Awais took a well-deserved wicket when the batsman scooped his delivery to Usman when the score was at 52 for 6 in 11 overs. Sandeep crashed to the party with a wicket where Munir took another great catch to put the opponents to 59 for 7 in 12.5 overs. 8th wicket was recorded when the score was at 65 runs where batsmen’s tried to steal a run and magnificent fielding display of Usman ensured the wicket by returning back to Shreejith and he complete the runout in the 15th over. ICC life line didn’t last long when they lost their 9th wicket to Yusri where the batsman only manage to play straight to the hands of Usman when score was 82 for 9 after 17.2 overs. Couple of deliveries later they lost their last wicket as well when the batsman ran himself out and brilliant fielding by Munir and safe hands of Shreejith to conclude the innings of ICC for 84 runs.
UFC Innings – 85 for 4 in 15.1 overs (Murad 29, Shreejith 20, Faesal 13* & Gopal 13*)
Chasing 85 runs UFC lost the 1st wicket in the preliminary over scoring only 4 runs. Then Murad & Shreejith put up a strong platform to the UFC batting with a 45 runs partnership for the 2nd wicket and unfortunately Shreejith got out after scoring a brilliant 20 runs, UFC were 49 for 2 after 7.1 overs. ICC stood up for a while and built up some pressure with 2 maiden overs as a result UFC lost their 3rd wicket in the 10th over without troubling the scorecard. UFC lost their 4th wicket at 65 runs (13.3 overs) where Murad got out after his well calculated 29 runs innings. Faesal and Gopal ensured the UFC victory without any further damage. It was a well-crafted victory for UFC and recorded 2 in 2 in the MCA T20 Tournament. Player of the game was awarded to Shreejith for his composed innings of 20 runs and safe hands for contributing in 5 dismissals behind the stumps.
